Shan-Yee Poon School of Performing Arts Acrobatics Dance Program

Acrobatics class teaches floor gymnastics tumbling skills which can be incorporated into dance. Acrobatic skills improve a dancer’s core strength, balance, muscle control, bravery, and confidence to try new things, as well as filling up a dancer’s arsenal with exciting unique skills and tricks that set them apart. These skills will help prepare them for anything that is thrown their way in the dance world.

Junior Acrobatics

A great way to introduce your child to the joys of tumbling. We start our youngest tumblers with a fun imaginative class. They will enjoy various obstacle courses while they work on large motor skills and coordination.

These skills will help prepare them for anything that is thrown their way in the dance world.

This level builds on the skills and coordination of the previous level, while maintaining the fun and creativity. Our Jr. Tumblers will work on flexibility and gaining strength while learning various rolls and tricks.

Tumbling levels 1,2, and 3 will build strength and flexibility in the dancer. This level will add more advanced tumbling movements to their class. Dynamic skills will be learned to greatly enhance any dance style.
