The Shan-Yee Poon School of Performing Arts Competition Dance Team attends local dance competitions and conventions throughout Northern California.

These dancers have the chance to meet and compete with other local dancers in competition while also studying from famous master teachers from around the world at local dance conventions. These experiences give this dedicated group of dancers a team-building and healthy competitive experience as well as many growth opportunities.

We also feel that being part of a team can be a valuable life experience for our dancers and the Competition Dance Team is a perfect way to meet that need. The purpose of the competition dance team is not to win trophies but rather to assist the dancer in continually pushing for his or her personal best. The goal is to give the dancers performing experience and to learn from each experience how to become a better dancer.

Dancers from level Pre-Ballet and upward are invited to join this team.
