Prepare to be Challenged!

Shan-Yee Poon School of Performing Arts has just launched a new elite Pre-Professional Program for dancers on a trajectory to becoming professional dancers. With small classes and personalized instruction, coaching, and mentor ship, students will be prepared for a professional career in ballet, or university degree in dance.  We have created an extensive program with various pre-pro ballet tracks, and a curriculum that includes ballet technique, pointe, variations, repertory and contemporary dance.

  • Year Round Program

    Our year round program is designed for dancers on a trajectory to becoming professional dancers. With small classes and personalized instruction, coaching, and mentor ship, students will be prepared for a professional career in ballet, or university degree in dance. Under the guidance of world-renowned instructors, dancers are immersed in daily training and choreography.

  • Summer Intensive

    Designed for dancers who want to maintain and accelerate their training throughout the summer. We have world-renowned instructors who provide personalized instruction and full immersion of ballet throughout each of our 1 week intensives. Students from outside schools are welcome.

  • Open Intermediate/Advanced Ballet Classes

    Improve and refine your ballet technique and artistry with individual instruction by studying with current Principal and Soloist dancers from intermationallly known ballet companies.

  • Competition Training

    The local, state and national competitive experience will give pre-pro students with exposure to be selected to join professional ballet companies.

  • Private Coaching

    Pre-Professional students receive private coaching and mentor ship from pre-pro faculty to enhance their dance training and reach new heights in technical excellence.

  • Pre-Pro Dance Company

    Pre-Pro dancers are eligible to audition for our Dance Company - and are provided with performance opportunities in various productions throughout the year. Performance and Company experiences are critical to the development of an aspiring professional dancer.
